it's a busy one for me this week...this is not a sunday rest day...cleaning, primping and getting the house ready for sale.
i thought we could meet in this laundry room..with this room i wouldn't mind doing some house work!

love the open airy feeling with all those window and i think that wall color is very close to my kitchen color.

this sunday i'm in portland oregon and spring is already showing signs of life here.

i thought we could meet at the portland nursery for coffee

coming from the east coast where many areas are still covered in snow, this is such a welcome change.

i found this corner of the nursery that had them most amazing scent.  SPRING!!

 i know it's really monday morning.

i'm a day late and it's hard to meet on a monday.
that's why i'm sitting at a kitchen counter and not a warm cozy room.  but what a kitchen it is!!

rustic vintage, there's so much to like in this room...

starting with those fabulous lights and that ladder, on to that amazing island and counter top. the floor, beams and window adding that  old world charm, just tops it off!

looks like a place i could be very happy cooking in.

ok,  back to work everyone..we've had our daydream moment of the day.

tomorrow i'll be flying to portland on a home scouting mission...wish me luck!

we're in sweden at the country home of the lovely elisabeth dunker,  a designer, artist and photographer

 

you will want to sit for awhile at this table and feel the warmth and contentment that is so very evident here...

but before you leave,  you should roam around this home through the eyes of the woman who created it and now documents it so amazingly with her camera.

morning friends,

this week's place for sunday morning coffee is right here,  in my sun room.

it's sunny, warm & cozy in here...it's about 5 degrees outside...let's stay in and enjoy this room while we can...

which brings me to a bit of news i have for you ...  we are moving ...we are heading west...all the way west...
to  Portland Oregon!  

that would be ALL of us...two households,  with 4 adults, 1 child, 1 dog.. and 2 shops,  solsticehome and trampoline.  we're joining our son and daughter who have lived in Portland for 3 yrs now.  it's time to reunite this family.

  

i couldn't be more excited and yes,  a little apprehensive about all the details. . i know it's not impossible and  i'm pretty sure  positive it will be very interesting  ;)

i've decided to write a weekly journal of our unfolding adventure.  i hope you'll follow along with me. i think i'll need some words of encouragement now and then.
