speed shopping ...

today is wednesday.  you know that's my regular antique bazaar day ... my woo hoo wednesday.

unfortunately, i had an appointment that lasted all morning....
i made it to the bazaar with only 15 minutes to spare.

so today, this little shopping spree was done in exactly ten minutes ... phew!

i know because one of the vendors had quite a laugh timing me  ....

here's a few of the finds closeup ..

they will be in the shop soon ...

so will this beauty.  i just had a new plug put on and it's working brilliantly ;)

have you done any speed shopping lately?

happy woo-hoo wednesday

shop update ... from me to you

this week's shop update is a wee bit hard for me.

with my upcoming move across country,  i'm trying to pare down as much as i can.
that means i have to let go of some of my personal items, ouch!

this week,  it's from my beach collection.

this old piece of real blue coral (not living)  is a large 12" and a beautiful display (pottery barn, eat your heart out :)

conch shell

fun chippy vintage hinged porthole, i had intentions of using this on a coastal inspired garden shed,
never did build the shed ..but i was ready with my window.

the buoys below i did use in my coastal garden, the colors were a nice accent among the flowers.

orange trawl net ball made in denmark

large blue numbered buoy with zinc cap and hook

they'll be a few more in coming days, as i convince myself to let more go.
contact me if you'd like me to hold one for you ... i've just started to list them.

and if your on or near Cape Cod on sunday ... there's a realty open house at my home,  stop in 1-3pm, you might just fall in love.

happy weekend

embracing the fog ...

good thing i like the fog, because this fog is just not letting up.

after five days...we might as well embrace it....

starting with some favorite photos from flickr ...follow the links to see the more

of course, the fog inspired me to find some beautiful rooms done in grey

here a deep brown grey makes for a very restful space in the bedroom.  i love how the little peek of aqua on the window trim adds a bit of interest.

Martha Stewart

whitewashed grey keeps this area light and simple,  allowing the architecture to stand out.

and here, the white walls with a hint of grey undertone, the grey desk and accessories keeps the studio calm. it allows many items to be left out and yet the room does not feel cluttered.

i would love to work in this space, seen on Stylizmo

this is a photo of the kitchen in my last home in brewster.  i always loved the light grey walls and the driftwood trim, sorry both custom mixed colors (many times,) i couldn't redo them if i tried.
my brewster home

as much as i've enjoyed my grey world today ... hopefully the sun will be out tomorrow ... a photo shoot and shop update is desperately needed ...

until then ... sunny thoughts
