shop update....for the room you live in

the living room in my house is truly lived in.

on any given day it can be a  library,  dining room,  office,  playroom and yes, sometimes even shop shipping and storage room.

today i pulled together a few new items coming to the shop and a few that are already there.  they work well in this type of multi purpose 'living room'


for movie night or to simply look like a professional movie buff..

vintage movie and slide projectors

to write that best seller or to just jot notes to friends...

vintage olivetti  and olympia typewriters

to bring the outside in and decorate the walls

framed antique botanicals

to light up a dark corner and plan your next adventure...

illuminated mid century globe

a necessary evil,  might as well make it look good

the rotary telephone with it's wonderful brrring

when you can't afford the original masterpiece

a nicely framed print does wonders

and of course vintage books!! i have them stacked on the table,  in the bookcase, by a chair

for inspiration

for reading or dreaming

most of the above are in the shop, some of the others will be coming soon...

i heart books

This girl is a  book lover and a vintage book collector (I know such a surprise)!
I love the feel and look of old books with aged tanned pages and..
I  love the thought that many other hands have held that same book.  They may have been inspired by it,  found their brilliant idea in it or just found enjoyment in the stories and illustrations.

When it's time for a gift, one of the gifts that thrills me the most are books.  It's a gift I can hold, enjoy and then pass down to future generations who then add their hand print to it.

So,  naturally I've included a few in the shop that I think make wonderful valentine gifts.  I'm also such a visual,  design obsessed woman,  I've paired them by color. They'll look pretty sweet on the bookshelf too.
Add some chocolate and it's pretty much perfection!
